Q. How much does esketamine (Spravato™) treatment cost?

A. The medication and the treatment sessions are separate costs. The total combined cost is several hundred dollars per session, but the amount you pay depends on your insurance coverage.  We are in network with BCBS PPO insurance and they have been covering the costs consistently, not including deductibles, coinsurance, and copays.  Please call us for further information.

 

 

Q. Is esketamine (Spravato™) FDA-approved for depression?

A. Yes, esketamine is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression.  See here for more detailed information on esketamine.

 

 

Q. How is esketamine (Spravato™) given?

A. It is self-administered intranasally in the office. The recommended course is twice a week for 4 weeks, then weekly for 4 weeks, then individually determined after that. See here for additional information on esketamine.

 

 

Q. How do I know if esketamine (Spravato™) treatment may be appropriate for me?

A. Contact our office to arrange an appointment for an evaluation. All patients new to our office must have an evaluation before determining suitability of esketamine treatment.  Please call 630-687-1653 to schedule an evaluation.  Treatment will be coordinated by Lott Behavioral Health.
